111 years of Utilis

Join us in celebrating 111 years of Utilis AG

To mark its 111th anniversary, UTILIS AG is hosting an open day on Saturday, 6 June 2026.
From 10 am to 4 pm, a food and drink stall, attractions for all age groups, fascinating insights into the world of cutting tools and the cult band ‘GinoBoys’ will create a real festival atmosphere.
Around 100 UTILIS AG employees will be on hand to welcome guests.

Overview of the day’s programme

The day has plenty of variety in store for our visitors, as well as musical and culinary highlights. Alongside fascinating insights into tools and machining, a colourful programme of entertainment, experiences, history and enjoyment awaits you: immerse yourself in the fascinating world of cutting tools and experience first-hand how precision and innovation give rise to state-of-the-art technology. Follow step by step how high-quality tools ‘made in Switzerland’ are manufactured from raw materials using state-of-the-art machinery. Our staff will guide you through the factory all day long, offering fascinating insights into an industry that shapes the daily lives of many people – often without them even realising it. You can also discover the 111-year history of UTILIS AG in our museum and marvel at historical tools. A particular classic, the production of which UTILIS AG began in 1939, is the legendary ‘Ovomaltine Mixer’, which was used in cafés and restaurants at the time to prepare Ovomaltine drinks. Other tools from days gone by on display invite visitors to reminisce and experience moments of nostalgia.

Entertainment & catering

Our youngest guests can also look forward to a special highlight: they can let off steam to their heart’s content on the bouncy castle. Between 12.30 pm and 4.00 pm, our make-up fairy will transform children’s faces into magical works of art with plenty of creativity and glitter. The cult band “GinoBoys” will also ensure a great atmosphere: with three energetic live performances between 11.30 am and 3.00 pm, they’ll invite you to sing along, dance along and join in the celebrations with popular hits such as “Schöne Urlaubszeit” and “Du bisch mer na es Müntschi schwach”. Of course, there’s plenty of food and drink on offer too: look forward to hearty classics such as bratwurst and cervelat sausages with bread, delicious vegetarian Älplermagronen, and sweet treats from the dessert buffet. An ice-cream bike and the coffee van also invite you to linger and relax. Cash and TWINT are accepted as payment methods on site.

111 years of precision – Swiss made

UTILIS AG is a family-run company based in Müllheim. For 111 years, we have been developing and manufacturing high-quality, bespoke precision tools for micromechanics as well as watchmaking and medical technology. In addition, we operate successfully worldwide under our own brand ‘multidec®’ and act as a trading partner for carefully selected, internationally established brands. Despite our subsidiaries and sales offices in France, the United States, China and Thailand, our production site in Müllheim remains central – this is where our products continue to be manufactured to the high Swiss quality standards you have come to expect.

For us, the number 111 is more than just an anniversary: three ones symbolise the values that have always defined our company – reliability, precision and technical progress. Values that we live by and that are evident in every one of our products.
